Ferenc deployed on January 12th from Tucson Az. His unit had drill that whole week, and on Saturday there was a goodbye ceremony for the friends and family. After the ceremony, the soldiers were allowed to spend the rest of the day with their families before flying out to Indiana at 5:00am Sunday. After the ceremony, I went out to lunch with Ferenc and his family. His family left from the restaurant and I spent the rest of the night packing, crying, and enjoying our last night together.
